Abstract
This document sets out the terms under which you may use Outis (the "App"), an offline tool that removes hidden metadata from photos on your device. By installing or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Definitions
- "App" means the Outis application and any updates to it.
- "We", "us" and "our" mean the developer of the App.
- "You" means the person using the App.
- "Metadata" means information stored inside a file in addition to the image itself, such as location, device details, dates, thumbnails and embedded data.
2. Licence to Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for lawful purposes.
You MUST NOT:
- sell, rent or redistribute the App, except as permitted by the store you got it from;
- use the App to break any law or to infringe the rights of others.
3. How the App Works
The App works entirely on your device. It has no internet access and does not request the permission needed to connect to a network.
The App reads only the photos you choose, and writes a new cleaned copy. It never changes or deletes your original photo. Temporary working files are removed when you leave the cleaning session or the next time the App starts.
4. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the photos you choose to clean and for what you do with the cleaned copies, including sharing them.
The App removes the kinds of metadata it recognises and checks every copy again before calling it clean. However, no tool can guarantee that a file reveals nothing: the visible content of a photo (faces, signs, screens, landmarks) can still identify people and places. You SHOULD look at a photo before you share it.
5. Privacy
We do not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data. The App has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. Your photos never leave your device unless you share them yourself, using your device's own sharing features. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. No Warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, its name, logo and design belong to us. These terms do not give you any rights to them other than the licence in Section 2. Your photos remain yours.
9. Changes to These Terms
We MAY update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this document. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends automatically if you break these terms.
